Thursday's Post

So this weekend we have to really plan everything out, and get our narrative set. Although a silent movie seems easier because there isn't a script, it's actually much more daunting than I thought. Essentially the visuals provide the narrative, so our script is going to be comprised of just a shot-by-shot breakdown.
Things we still need to do:

Figure out when auditions will be, and write up a email that can be sent out by the MTA
Decide when to start shooting
Maybe ask Holly Cate to make an announcement in her classes about auditions

We also have to decide how we are going to audition. Since it's a silent film, the actors will have to be very physical and comfortable with working with their bodies. We can figure out the auditions when we meet on Sunday. I have some ideas from acting classes I've taken here, exercises that would definitely help us see physical acting in the people auditioning. We also may have more of a problem finding guys to act in this, as there always seems to be a shortage, so we'll have to figure that out if it comes up.
